If you’ve received a traffic ticket for speeding,
running a red light, running a stop sign,
improper lane changes, failure to control speed,

consult with an attorney before paying the fines
on these tickets.

Never
pay your traffic ticket before consulting with
an attorney.
Paying your traffic ticket could result
in you being convicted of the offense.
A conviction for a moving violation will
remain on your driving record for up to
three years and usually will result in your
insurance rates going up.

If

license can be suspended after 2 moving
violations in a 12-month period. If you receive
two convictions for driving without liability
insurance your driver’s license can be
suspended after the second offense.

INSURANCE PREMIUMS
Under
the Driver
Responsibility Program the State of Texas is
allowed to charge drivers a surcharge to maintain
their drivers license. Each moving violation
amounts to 2 points, and 3 points if your involved
in a motor vehicle accident.
Once a driver accrues 6 points you must pay
a $100 surcharge to maintain your driver’s
license. If
you are convicted of 4 moving violations within a
12-month period, your license could be suspended.

FOR YOUR ARREST

to appear for your court date can result in a
warrant being issued for your arrest.
